Welcome to the Blog!

Well, the wiki wasn’t working out too well - it was a bit unorganized. So, I decided a blog would be much more suited for providing development information. It’ll also be much easier to keep track of and check up on updates. I know it’s not much right now, but I’ll be adding a lot of information as the project works its wait toward completion.

Currently, I’m still focusing on the back-end and administration. The template, logging, cache, and database systems are pretty much complete - I’ll be adding minor things and fixing bugs periodically. The majority of my work has gone into the template system, which now works like a charm after many bug fixes and optimizations. After removing some dependancies I will release it as a stand-alone project so others may use it in their websites if they prefer. It’s fairly standard; the more advanced features in MyCustomBB such as the ability to move things around the template is accomplished through a fairly basic system. All the hard work has been done for you. The template system also includes the ability to compile and cache templates, drastically decreasing parse times. I’ll have more information on this a bit later.
